This fun, informative, engaging and enlightening three 2 hour sessions have been carefully designed to enable you to better understand perimenopause/menopause and empower you to make evidence based informed choices that are unique to you and your body. You will receive a clear and solid grounding in the science of menopause including how hormones impact on the brain, research and data, understanding of symptoms and the impact on the body as well as your emotions and psychological well-being. Everything Mindfulness advocates mindfulness and menopause, and how it can defuse the power of anxiety, low mood and a lack of self confidence - a few of the most common symptoms of Perimenopause. Learn different coping techniques and discover and develop new lifestyle options including diet, exercise and how to reduce stress that can significantly help at this important time of your life. Throughout the sessions there are simple elements of how mindfulness and self compassion can help support you in becoming more self aware and how best to listen to your body at this stage in your life and beyond. * What is Mindfulness & How Mindfulness can support Menopause * Early Intervention & Culture of Menopause * What is Perimenopause / Menopause? * Symptoms & Impact on the mind and body * Hormones & How Menopause Affects the Brain * The Menopause Stress Cycle * Fears / Concerns - What Do I Need and What Can I Do? * HRT Replacing Lost Hormones and Alternative Therapies Course Format: The online course consists of three, 2 hour sessions (total 6 hours). Course Materials: A electronic course workbook covering the theory of each topic. The teacher and participants will be live and visible. There will be group and one-to-one interaction as you would expect in a traditional learning environment.
